Classes

Fun, Effective Dog Training classes! Come to Hippie Dog for results that last when you leave the classroom. Enjoy small class sizes, lots of personal attention, and the latest methods in dog training taught by certified instructors.

Do you have a new puppy in need of manners and socialization? Just adopted a new dog? Or is it simply time to polish your dog’s basic manners? We get you and your dog on the right track with come when called, anti-jumping, impulse control exercises, loose-leash walking, leave it & K9 body language.

What do you mean by holistic?  We think of all aspects of the dog in regards to the training and/or behavior issues - body, mind and soul.  We use the holistic approach to come up with creative approaches to the conflicts you are having with your pet.

 * Class instructors are professional, knowledgeable and fun!

 * Class size is kept small to ensuring individual attention from the trainer.

* Unique holistic approach you won't get any place else!

*At Hippie dog it's all about love not war with your pooch!

* Some trainers promise to fix all your dog’s bad behaviors. But changing behavior—as we all know—takes cooperation and compliance by multiple parties, so we think giving guarantees about behavior is downright unethical.

  • A commitment to help you address, change, and improve your dog’s behavior
  • Fast, effective dog training solutions
  • All inquiries addressed within 24 hours
  • Trained staff, committed to continuing education

Class Descriptions

Basic Manners Class

*Puppies & Adult Dogs (age 8 weeks and up)

*Open Enrollment Style:
means that you can begin attending class whenever you want, and finish 4, 6 or 8 weeks later – essentially, you choose your own start and end dates!
  • Instead of waiting for the start date of the class you want, start right away!
  • Start reaping the socialization benefits of Puppy Kindergarten as soon as possible – now you don’t have to wait!
  • Have a vacation scheduled, use your skip week.

Our manners classes are taught outside and built around real-life situations and problem-solving that teaches students the skills they’ll need every day with their dog.

The aim of this class is to have a well-behaved dog you can take anywhere and introduce to anyone. From a holistic approach will cover all aspects of the dog, body, mind & soul.  Teaching you how to read your dog in multi ways. We cover both the theory of how dogs learn — so you know how to solve problems outside the classroom  — and practice everyday scenarios like polite greetings and walk nice on leash and more.

 *How Does Open Enrollment Work?

Unlike traditional dog training classes which have a specific start date and run for a certain number of weeks, open enrollment classes are ongoing. These rolling classes are held up to three days a week and set up so anyone can start at any time during one of our training sessions.

Once you start a class you will come each week for the number of times in your package.  We do allow one skip week, if you so choose.  Once you start, you will need to continue your sessions at least once per week.

Example: If you start this Tuesday, you bought a 6 session package, you would come at least one day per week for 6 sessions.  You can also come 2 days per week as long as you use your package each week, which means you can try out different trainers and be flexible on days of the week to train.

How to get started:
1: Pick a day of the week (listed below) that works for you.
2: Pick a package:
Express: 4 sessions ($115)
Right on: 6 sessions ($150)
Guru: 8 sessions ($185)
3. Sign up online: you need to preregister (listed below)

Semi-Private Training Sessions: Drop-In Style.

We also offer indoor drop-in sessions for any dog 8 weeks and older.  No need to sign up.  Just stop by!  Cost is $25 per session.  Only 1-4 dogs per session allowed.  Work on the things you and your dog need help with now.  Get semi-private training in a small group environment.
